Acero-Martin to resume drilling at Pinaya

November 7, 2005
Acero-Martin Exploration Inc. has now received its Category C exploration permit from the Peruvian Ministry of Mines, which allows the resumption of drilling at the Pinaya copper-gold project, located in southern Peru. The Category C exploration permit is valid for one year and will allow the company to drill up to 150 holes at Pinaya.

The company has contracted Geodrill SA of Arequipa to conduct the next phase of drilling, which will begin early next week. The initial focus of the drill program is to extend the Western porphyry mineralization to the north and to the south.

The company has retained Val d'Or Geofisica of Lima, Peru, to conduct a deep penetrating induced polarization (IP) survey over new and existing exploration targets, and additional ground magnetics. The IP survey will allow the examination of resistivity and conductivity characteristics to depths in excess of 400 metres. The purpose of the program is to test below the weathered profile for hypogene copper mineralization.

Recent drilling has shown deep weathering to exceed 200 metres in depth. This work will allow the company to better understand the intrusive complex and its weathered profile, and will provide additional drill targets. Further work will include additional soil geochemistry to extend and better define existing gold-copper geochemical anomalies, and to confirm previous rock sampling anomalies.

Surface sampling and mapping will resume and will concentrate along the margins of the copper-bearing porphyry intrusive at Don Pedro, and where significant gold mineralization has been identified in outcrop. Further mapping and sampling is also planned on the Montana de Cobre zone, followed by a trenching in advance of drilling.

The company has also granted, subject to regulatory approval, a total of 1.2 million incentive stock options to directors, employees and consultants of the company, under the company's current stock option plan. The options will be exercisable at 65 cents per share, expiring Nov. 7, 2009.
