Montana de Cobre Gold Trenching Results

April 4, 2006

Acero-Martin Exploration Inc. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the trenching assay results from the Montagna de Cobre (“MC”) gold zone on the Pinaya Project, which is located in southern Peru.  The MC zone is locate 2.5 Km north of the Open Pit gold oxide skarn zone (“GOSZ”).

In the Montańa de Cobre gold-oxide target area, four previously excavated trenches were rehabilitated for sampling near the end of the 2005 field season. The trenches ranged from 122m/400ft to 180m/591ft in length, and cover an area of approximately 300 meters/984ft perpendicular to strike and 150 meters/492ft along strike. A total of 195 3-meter/10ft continuous chip samples were taken in the trenches, along with 9 grab samples of mostly vein material.

All of the MC trenches tested produced significant gold values- up to 1.63 g/t gold in PTR-68.

The area has been worked on a small scale for artisanal gold production. Geochemical soil sampling in the area indicates a significant Cu-Au-Zn-As-Pb anomaly that trends to the NW in this area, roughly centered on the highest peak.

As previously mentioned in the Company’s news release of February 22, 2006, gold mineralization appears to be controlled by the intersection of NNW trending, steeply dipping bedding faults and ENE trending cross faults. Grab samples returned values of 1-5 g/t Au up to 18.56 g/t Au. Fine-grained native gold was panned from crushed vein material in trenches PTR-66 and PTR-68.

Trench sample results are summarized below.

Donald Gee, President said “the second drill rig will test the Montagna de Cobre gold targets as soon as it arrives, which is anticipated to be by Mid April. It is expected that this gold zone will greatly add to the already impressive ore grade gold intersects that we encountered on the Open Pit Gold(Gold Oxide Skarn “GOSZ”)  area to the south. The current drilling program is progressing extremely well. Thus far, 12 holes have been completed and assays for the first 5 holes have been received (News Release March 23, 2006). We will be releasing additional assays as they are available. I am confident that we will continue to prove up an economic resource at Pinaya.”

The Qualified Person under NI 43-101 for the Pinaya Project is Jeffrey Reeder, P. Geo.
